Mundford Village Bowls Club is situated in the heart of the village at West Hall Road, Mundford, Thetford, Norfolk IP26 5DR. This long established club welcomes newcomers of all abilities from the experienced player to the absolute beginner. Contact us for further information or call at the club at any time when open or, particularly, on Summer Sundays at 5.00pm when there is an open session on the green (weather permitting). Equipment is available for beginners to borrow - just bring flat-soled shoes or trainers.

The clubhouse, which has a licensed bar, is available for use by other clubs and organisations - see the Contacts page.

Forthcoming Events


At the Clubhouse:

Bar open Friday and Saturday evenings from 8.00pm. Also open during and after evening and weekend games during the season.  

New Year’s Eve: Bar open 8.00pm till late

Informal Carpet Bowls: Every Thursday at 2.00pm  throughout the Winter. £1.50 including tea/coffee and biscuits (Closed  21 & 28 December). All welcome.

West Norfolk Aviation Soc : Tuesday 9 January at 7.30pm. All welcome.

WI: Wednesday 17 January 2.00pm.

Quiz Night: Saturday 27 January 7.30

2017 - Another Successful Season
The conclusion of another very successful season has seen the men’s team finish top of the Norfolk Central League Division 1, winning all of their matches and, for the second year running, just missing out on promotion to the Premier League by finishing as runners up in the W P Baker Cup Play-offs. The Mixed Triples A team won the Ashill Mixed Triples League Division 1 for the third year running and the B Mixed Triples won Division 3 after being promoted last year as winners of Division 4.

Rosie Smith
Rosie Smith ,the Club’s President, died on the morning of 5 June after a very short illness. Rosie had club, county and national honours. Click here to see a full obituary published in the Eastern Daily Press.
